This Privacy Policy explains how Amanda’s Creative Corner (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit mavixbio.com, including Amanda Recipes (home-cooking recipes) and Amanda Crochet (the crochet patterns section). Both sections are run by the same team and follow this same policy. By using the website you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you give us. We only collect personal information that you choose to send us:

• Contact form and emails: your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message, so that we can reply.
• Newsletter sign-ups: your first name and email address, so that we can send the newsletter you asked for. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can ask us to remove you at any time.
• Comments and reviews (where enabled): the name, email address and comment you submit, plus your IP address and browser details to help detect spam. Your email address is never published.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider and the services listed below automatically receive standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. This data is used to keep the site secure, fix problems and understand which content is useful.

Information stored in your browser. Some features, such as remembering your cookie choice or remembering that you already tapped a “made this” or rating button, store a small value in your browser (a cookie or local storage). This stays on your device.

How we use your information

• To run, maintain and improve the website and its content.

How long we keep information

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider for security purposes.

Your rights

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and we take reasonable steps to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the updated policy.
